THE GORGE OF THE RIVER CHÉPINSKA REKA

The gorge of the river Chepinska reka begins north of Draginovo and continues until the river exit near the village Vetren dol. In this zone the river flows between the sections of Rhodope Alabak and Karkariya, forming a picturesque canyon with rocky peaks. At the beginning of the gorge the river flows north, but at the height “Lakat” makes a “sharp” turn east, passing through the “Dólene” area and then turns northeast. The upper part of the gorge can be visited from Draginovo. At the beginning a well defined forest path must be followed, after must be abandoned and crossing the height “Lakat” you will  reach the area “Dólene”.
