MEMORIAL TABLET TO THE NATIONAL RENACENTIST FIGURES

It is a marble slab, on which are inscribed the names of the National Renaissance figures in the region of Chépino until the end of 19th century. The slab marks the place of the first school in Western Rhodopes. It is set up by the initiative of the local Society for Protection of Rhodope Mountains. Thus Kamenitsa, from where the Renaissance expanded to the whole Chepino valley, today is also the Celebration center of the  National Renaissance.
